Don’t condemn yourself for borrowing.

When you are in debt, it is easy to get into condemnation because you are in such a financial mess. But that won’t help you get out of debt.  Learn more in this week’s blog.

When you are in debt, there can be a lot of pressure on you. You need to make your payments every month. Your family could be worried about how you are going to afford to live well and still pay the bills. You may feel that you need to make more money to deal with what is going on, but more money is not always the answer.

So you don’t need to add more pressure to yourself with condemnation.

Condemnation is not productive. Condemning focuses on what happened in the past. This kind of focus won’t help you move forward because condemnation always looks backward. You want to move forward.  Looking back won’t help you move forward.  Often times looking backward produces feelings of frustration and hopelessness.

In order to move forward, you need to be encouraged, expect good things and be confident.

When you feel condemned, you don’t have the confidence you necessary to stick to your budget. You need that confidence to sustain you through the entire process. Otherwise you will give up and undermine yourself. Once you undermine confident expectation of your results, you lose.

Condemnation is a mindset that is not good for you. If you want to be successful in your debt reduction, you have to believe you can do it. You can’t do something you don’t think you can do. Condemnation is a negative belief, not a positive one.  Condemning makes you feel bad and think you can’t accomplish what you want to.  Stay away from condemnation to keep yourard momentum at all times!

Condemnation is feeling guilty about something you have already done. But debt is something that you are trained to use. You are not told about the negative effects that debt will cause.  You  are just told how to use debt.  Then you think that debt should be used. Debt is good for the sellers and finance companies. But debt is not good for you because you now have less money which buys fewer things.  Debt increases the price of everything you purchase.

Now that you know more about debt, purpose to stop using debt and pay off what you owe ASAP.  Get clear from debt.  Debt prevents you from living the life you really want.  Debt puts you in a negative frame of mind.

Keeping your attitude positive and looking forward to when you are debt free will help you get out of debt more quickly.  Focus TODAY on what you want your future to look like.  Push negative thoughts away when they come.  Choose to think on the good things in your life and how freedom from debt will enrich your life.

You can get Positive results in your debt relief journey.  Stay out of condemnation.  Think positive and get yourself out of debt!  Be confident and expect that you can and will pay off debt.  Minimize your debt going forward.

Anything you tolerate becomes normal to you. When you stop tolerating debt, you increase your ability to function without it.  You can get yourself debt free. It will take you some time, but the end is worth it!- Dan Heiland
